An opportunity came up to buy some Marsanne from our friend Ashley Radcliffe of Ricca Terra farm, I have often toyed with the idea of a skin contact Pet Nat so why wouldn’t we? 5 days on skins then fermented dry before a back add of freshly fermenting Riesling juice then into the bottle for the sugar to tick out. Early harvest has given us a nice low alcohol and fresh acidity. I like that the varietal characters shine through.
